Computer में Memory एक मनुष्‍य के Brain की तरह हैं। इसका इस्तेमाल Data और Instructions को store करने के लिए किया जाता है। Computer Memory Computer में Storage Space Locations है, जहां Data को Process किया जाता है और Processing के लिए आवश्‍यक Instructions को store किया जाता है।

बिट अथवा बाइट:- मेमोरी में स्टोर किया गया डाटा 0 या 1 के रूप में परिवर्तित हो जाता है 0 तथा 1 को संयुक्त रूप से Binary Digits कहा जाता हैं| संक्षेप में इन्हें Bits भी कहा जाता हैं| यह Bit Computer की Memory में घेरे गए स्थान को मापने की सबसे छोटी इकाई होती हैं| It is the smallest unit of data a computer can read.

8 Bits = 1 Bytes – A single character

1024 Bytes = 1 Kilobyte (1 KB)

1024 KB = 1 Megabyte (1MB)

1024 MB = 1 Gigabyte (1 GB)

1024 GB = 1 Terabyte (1 TB)

1024 TB = 1 Petabyte (1 PB)

1024 PB = 1 Exabyte (1 EB)

1024 EB = 1 Zettabyte (1 ZB)

1024 ZB = 1 Yottabyte (1 YB)
