Guwahati: The highly praised Assamese feature film Jiya, directed by Kenny Basumatary and produced by Sarmistha Chakravorty, is now all set for its television premiere. After a successful run in theatres, the film is now set to captivate a broader audience through its TV debut.

Arun, a renowned actress, commended the film for addressing the life and
struggles of a single mother, urging viewers to watch it and make it a success. Set
to premiere on Prag News on October 27 at 12 noon, the film has already invoked
the interest of fans and film enthusiasts, who shared their excitement about the
upcoming premiere.
Since its release in May this year, Jiya has garnered significant attention for its
realistic portrayal of life’s struggles and its emotionally charged storytelling. The
film follows the journey of Jiya, a resilient young woman, played by Sarmistha
