‘Longest six of IPL 2021’: Kieron Pollard smashes 105-meter six against Sunrisers Hyderabad: Watch Video
On Saturday, Kieron Pollard smashed a six that was so long that it left the MA Chidambaram Stadium. In the 17th over of the match between MI vs SRH, which was bowled by debutant spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Pollard hit the first six of his inning. His powerful knock landed on the roof of Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. Pollard showed his big-hitting prowess by smashing over deep mid-wicket to hit the biggest six of the ongoing IPL edition. It was 105 meters long. In the end, it was Pollard’s knock that helped Mumbai Indians post a respective total on the board. He hit 17 off the last over bowled by pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Pollard is famous for his big-hitting knocks in cricket. The West Indian has been an integral part of the Mumbai Indians since he was bought in 2010. Since then, Pollard has continued to provide the impetus to the batting unit while bailing them out in crunch situations. Kieron Pollard and Virat Kohli are the only two players who have played only for a single team in IPL.

In the match, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first in their Indian Premier League (IPL) clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Saturday evening. MI scored 150/5 in their stipulated 20 overs. Mumbai Indians won the match by 13 runs. An amazing and combined bowling effort executed by Rahul Chahar (3/19) and Bumrah helped Mumbai Indians beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 13 runs in Chennai. While chasing 151 on a tricky surface, Sunrisers were bundled out for 137 in the final over of the innings. Chahar once again showed his class and picked up three important wickets for his side. Pandya’s brilliance in the field resulted in Warner heading back to the pavilion. In the last 4 overs, Bumrah and Boult bowling were just too good for the opposition.
