New Delhi The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Saurabh Ganguly, on Thursday confirmed that the first Twenty20 match between India and Bangladesh to be held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the capital will be held as per schedule.

Since Diwali in Delhi, pollution has reached a dangerous level due to which the sky is covered with light darkness and people are having trouble breathing. At the same time Delhiites are also complaining of eye irritation, due to which doctors have also asked people to take precaution.

However, despite the current pollution situation, BCCI has confirmed the first match of the series between India and Bangladesh on November 3. “Of course, the first Twenty20 will be as per schedule,” Ganguly said.

It is noteworthy that in the same season last year, the match between India and Sri Lanka in Delhi was discussed due to pollution when the players of the Sri Lankan team were seen playing in masks on the field. This time too, the situation of smog in the capital is almost the same, due to which many people are also demanding to have this match elsewhere.
