Pakistan have announced the squad for their upcoming ODI series against the Netherlands in the month of August and also for the upcoming T20 Asia Cup. The matches against Netherlands will serve as preparation for Asia Cup. Skipper Babar Azam will lead the team as usual. Shadab Khan has been appointed as the deputy of Babar Azam. The squad for Asia Cup is also announced along with the squad for Netherlands series. There will be five changes in the squad that will face Netherlands and the one that will compete in Asia Cup. Pakistan will start their Asian Cup with a match against arch-rival India in Dubai on August 28.

Babar Azam (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Abdullah Shafique, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Imam-ul-Haq, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Naseem Shah, Salman Ali Agha, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shahnawaz Dahani and Zahid Mehmood.

Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has been included in both the squads and is all set to make his return to cricket after missing the second Test against Sri Lanka last month.

Fast bowler Naseem Shah has been included in the squad against Netherlands in place of fellow quick Hasan Ali. Naseem will made his ODI debut if he gets a place in the playing XI.

Agha Salman has also been included in this squad. He made his international debut in the Test series against Sri Lanka last month. He will now have the chance to make his ODI debut in the Netherlands.

Abdullah Shafique, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Haris, Salman Ali Agha and Zahid Mehmood are included in the squad against Netherlands but they will be replaced by Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed and Usman Qadir in the squad for Asia Cup.
