Sony SAB’s fantasy show Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga has been a favourite amongst everyone, from kids to adults. While the entire team has been successful in creating magic on screen, they are yet adapting to a new setup as they recently shifted to a new set. This new beginning has been pleasant for some and difficult for the others.

Avneet Kaur, playing the role of Yasmine, is loving the vibe at their new set in Naigaon as she said, “The new set is amazing with really positive vibes. All the co-actors are like a family so it feels like we have shifted our house. Naigaon is a really beautiful place and I have previously worked here. There is less traffic and less people here so I’m happy that we shifted.

There are some shortcomings like the travelling is a bit tough. However, the set is bigger than our previous set and is creatively decorated too. Our rooms are bigger too. So it’s an entirely different vibe; A happy one.”

The very adorable Sonal Bhojwani, playing Genie Menie, was overwhelmed on leaving the previous set as she said, “From the last 6 months, it was the place I used to be at for at least 6 hours of my day, so it was difficult to leave that set and move to a new one. However, the fact that the people I’m working with are the same, helps a bit in adapting to this new place.

Adding further, Sonal shared, “All thanks to the good caterer arranged by the production house, we don’t miss the food that was usually delivered by the food delivery apps that we used to order from at our film city set. I was habitual to having my coffee from Starbucks on the set, which I now miss. Apart from that, the new set is beautiful as it is huge and everything is new. The way to the set is also really pretty and I enjoy driving up to the set in the morning.”

While the two extremely gorgeous youngsters are in awe of the new set, the senior artists are of a different view. Amir Dalvi, who essays the powerful role of Zafar in the show liked the previous set better as he says, “I feel we were in a better setup earlier, in Filmcity, than the Naigaon set in terms of the technicalities and the distance. It is a 3 hour travel up and down every day and it’s a little difficult.

We are trying to get comfortable in this new setup and I hope that happens soon. As of now, it doesn’t feel like home because the set is too far and we worked at the previous set for almost a year. Above everything, Filmcity has always given the feeling that we are closer to the industry but Naigaon gives a very outdoor sort of feel.”

Smita Bansal, playing the role of Ammi had rather interesting things to add about this change as she said, “Firstly, the set is really far but the vibe is really good. For me, the most important thing is that the show keeps doing well, just like it currently is doing. The cast is the same, so that is one good thing. The set also, is a little bigger than the previous one.

Since it’s a new setup, there is a freshness on the set and it brings fresh enthusiasm amongst everyone too.” She is impressed on seeing the love for the show amongst everyone in the team as everyone agreed to shift to the new place, even though the previous set was more comfortable.
