All Hitman series games in Order
Hitman: Codename 47 – 2000
This first game of the series, Codename 47 was released on 21st November 2000. It was one of the best first person shooting game at that time. The game is set in a dark world where a bald assassin with a tattoo on his head assassinate his targets. The storyline starts with escaping of the main character from a test facility who is then hired by a European agency to kill wealthy criminals.
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin – 2002
The sequel Silent Assassin came two years later which is compatible with more devices. The game was available for PlayStation, GameCube, and Xbox along with Microsoft Windows. There was a slight change in storyline. In this game, a few more accessories were added which enhanced the gameplay.
Hitman: Contracts – 2004
Hitman: Contracts is quite different as it’s both a remake and a sequel. The game allowed fans to replay levels from previous games. It was not as popular as Hitman 2 and also received some criticism. However, the game had improved graphics and was praised by fans.
Hitman: Blood Money – 2006
Blood Money is considered as one of the best games of the Hitman series. The game featured excellent graphics with various compatible controllers. Hitman: Absolution – 2014
Hitman Absolution came six years after the previous one. The game introduced new features and gameplay like Online contracts and Instinct Mode. The game is set in similar storyline as Agent 47 goes on a mission to kill his girlfriend Diana.
Hitman – 2016
Hitman 2016 started the new world of Assassination trilogy. The makers took note of various issues like disguise mechanic, stealth, and linear missions and responded to it. The game allows players to explore, with a number of options to kill targets.
Hitman 2 – 2018
Hitman 2 is set just after the story of Hitman. The storyline of Hitman 2 is that Agent 47 tries to hunt down the Shadow Client he’s been working for. The game provided a more clear and polished experience than the previous one.

The third and last game of triology, Hitman 3 marked the end of the World of Assassination trilogy. The game is set in similar format as its predecessors.
