- Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav will take the pace department spearheaded by veteran Ishant Sharma.
- Shardul Thakur also makes a comeback after being dropped for the 3rd and 4th Tests against England.
- Bhuvneshwar Kumar exclusion is surprising. He missed last few matches due to injury.
