The most awaited cricket tournament – Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is all set to start from April 9 and will go on till May 30. The tournament will be played across six venues and no team will get the opportunity to play at home as announced by its governing council. Last year the tournament was relocated to the United Arab Emirates due to the COVID pandemic. But this time it is scheduled to take place in India.

This time the tournament will be played behind closed doors without the presence of spectators. The venues for the tournament are Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi and Kolkata. The final will be hosted by Nardendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 30. In the opening match of IPL 2021 the defending champions Mumbai Indians will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai on April 9.
