IPL 2023 : Chennai Super Kings Squad Analysis
Batsmen :
There is no need of concern in this area because the batting lineup is all same except Conway. Devon Conway will replace Faf Du Plessis and all the other names are same. The likes of Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu and Uthappa are enough to make their batting strong.
Wicketkeepers :
There is no need to mention wicket-keeping, because CSK has the best in its field. Even after retiring, MS Dhoni is still among the best wicket keepers. He has been playing on this spot since the start of IPL.
All-Rounders :
CSK also have the best all-rounder in Ravindra Jadeja. Bravo might be in contention but Dwaine Pretorius is present for the replacement of Bravo. Rajvardhan Hangargekar, on the other hand, could turn into a world-class all-rounder under MS Dhoni.
Bowlers :
This is the only area of concern for CSK. The absence of Josh Hazlewood and Shardul Thakur’s will be felt. There are rumors that Deepak Chahar might miss first few matches of IPL. Adam Milne will have to lead the bowling attack of CSK in this case.
