RR performance in IPL 2023 Auction
Prior to IPL 2022 Mega Auction, Rajasthan Royals retained their skipper Sanju Samson, English batsman Jos Buttler and youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Rajasthan then spent a whooping Rs 10 crore on Indian fast bowler, Prasidh Krishna. Their next most expensive signing was of West Indian batter, Shimron Hetmyer, whom they bought for Rs 8.50 crore. Another big signings were of Trent Boult (Rs 8 crore), Devdutt Padikkal (Rs 7.75 crore), Yuzvendra Chahal (Rs 6.50 crore) and R Ashwin (Rs 5 crore).
Overall, Rajasthan Royals were successful in building a new team for IPL 2022. RR made big changes to their side after their poor run at IPL 2021. In the last season, they finished at the seventh position on the league table.

Rajasthan Royals have been successful in roping in the experienced New Zealand fast bowler, Trent Boult for IPL 2022. However, the team do not have many options when it comes to their pace bowing. Prasidh Krishna definitely has potential but he could panic under pressure. Navdeep Saini has been quite expensive for RCB in previous seasosn. RR got a upper hand in the spin department with Ashwin and Chahal in the squad.
