In the ongoing summer transfer window, Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey has joined Ligue 1 club Nice on a free transfer. The players has been a part of Juventus since 2019. He made 69 appearances for the Serie A side. His stint with the Italian club did not go well as he was loaned to Rangers for the first six months of 2022. The midfielder returned to Turin this summer after spending the second half of last season on loan at Rangers. Aaron Ramsey and Juventus “mutually terminated” his Juventus contract as the player wanted to seek a new challenge. Ramsey’s contract was set to expire in 2023, but an agreement was reached to part ways one year early. He joined Juventus in 2019 as a free agent after spending eight years at Arsenal. The Wales midfield won the Serie A title in his first campaign in Turin.

Ramsey was not given regular minutes at Juventus since joining the Italian club in 2019. He made only 49 Serie A appearances over three seasons. Ramsey will definitely get more playing minutes at Nice which will help him to prepare for the upcoming FIFA World Cup. Wales are set to play in November’s World Cup for the first time since 1958. Their campaign will begin against the United States on November 21.
