With Mumbai three down for 81 in 9.4 overs, Pollard came to the crease and blasted 87* off 34 deliveries including six boundaries and eight sixes. With the Pandya brothers, Pollard stole victory from CSK on the very last ball of the game, leaving fans in a frenzy. to hand his team a 4-wicket win of the last ball of the match. It was one of the best performances of Kieron Pollard.
A towering Trinidadian, Kieron Pollard is one of the hardest hitters of the cricket ball and is also a useful medium-pace bowler. Pollard’s feats on the domestic circuit and his remarkable display in the 2009 Champions League T20 made him a nation-wide household name. Although he has a decent first-class record, he is seen by many as an ideal cricketer in the limited-over formats.
In March 2021, West Indies superstar cricketer Kieron Pollard became just the third batsman in international cricket to hit 6 sixes in an over. Pollard achieved the feat when he hit Sri Lanka’s Akila Dananjaya out of the park 6 times in the 6th over of West Indies’ successful chase in the first T20I at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua on Thursday.
Kieron Pollard joins World Cup-winning former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh as the only other batsman to hit 6 sixes in an over in T20I cricket. At the international level, it was former South Africa opener Herschelle Gibbs who achieved the feat first — in a World Cup 2007 match against the Netherlands.
