After Virat Kohli was rested in this series, Rohit, who was captaining India in this series, broke former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s record of playing most T20 matches for India as he took the field. This was Rohit’s 99th match and he surpassed Dhoni’s 98 matches.
