After the completion of Euro 2020 Championship and Copa America 2021, another international football tournament is on its way. Men’s Football Tournament at Tokyo 2020 Olympics will be held in the month of July. 16 teams are participating in the tournament and will fight for the gold medal of Olympics. It was a good run for Spain National Team at Euro 2020 as per their squad strength. Spain were defeated by Switzerland on penalties in the quarterfinal of the tournament.

Spain will be a major contender to win Gold Medal at Men’s Football in Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The reason behind this is that they are taking six members from its European Championship squad to the Tokyo Olympics. Spain coach Luis de la Fuente included Unai Simón, Eric García, Pau Torres, Pedri González, Mikel Oyarzabal and Dani Olmo in Spain Football Squad for Tokyo 2020 Olympics. They all were also included in the Spain Euro 2020 squad that advanced to the quarterfinals.

It was rumored that Sergio Ramos had previously expressed a desire to represent Spain at an Olympics. It was assumed that he might be included in Spain Olympics squad because he did not get a spot in Spain squad for Euro 2020. But he was not included in the final squad for Olympics.

Defenders: Óscar Mingueza (Barcelona), Jesús Vallejo (Granada), Eric García (Barcelona), Pau Torres (Villarreal), Óscar Gil (Espanyol), Juan Miranda (Real Betis)

Midfielders: Marc Cucurella (Getafe), Jon Moncayola (Osasuna), Martín Zubimendi (Real Sociedad), Dani Ceballos (Real Madrid), Mikel Merino (Real Sociedad), Carlos Soler (Valencia), Pedri González (Barcelona)

Forwards: Bryan Gil (Sevilla), Marco Asensio (Real Madrid), Dani Olmo (Leipzig), Mikel Oyarzabal (Real Sociedad), Rafa Mir (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Javier Puado (Espanyol)
