The Selectors of Indian Cricket Team have announced the squad for the upcoming World Test Championship Final 2023 in England. A few cricketers who have been in contention to get the call have been left out from the 15-member squad for WTC Final. Some players have also got called up that no one had expected. Kuldeep Yadav didn’t get a place in the Indian Test Team. Even then some deserving players failed to get a place in the Indian Team. Kuldeep Yadav’s exclusion from the 15-member squad is quite shocking because he made a comeback in IPL. Why Kuldeep Yadav is not selected in Indian Team for WTC Final?
Kuldeep Yadav didn’t get a place in Indian Squad for World Test Championship Final 2023 against Australia because he doesn’t have a regular place in the Indian Test Team. The spinner is definitely a regular starter for Team India in limited overs format but he doesn’t have a spot in Test Team. Indian Test Squad already have world class spinner in the form of Ravindra Jadeja, R Aswhin and Axar Patel. The three have been performing consistently for a long time. They are able to bat as well which gives them an edge over Kuldeep Yadav.

Why Kuldeep Yadav is not selected in Indian Team for T20 World Cup 2022?
Kuldeep Yadav didn’t get a place in the Indian squad for T20 World Cup 2022 because there are already two full time spinners in the squad i.e. Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin. The World Cup will take place in Australia this time. We all are aware of that fact that the Australian pitches have always favored the pace bowlers as they get extra seam, swing and bounce. Spinners have always struggled in these conditions.

Why Kuldeep Yadav is not selected in Indian Team for Asia Cup?
Kuldeep Yadav did not get a place in Asia Cup squad because of his fitness issues. He definitely made a comeback to the Indian team with his exceptional bowling in IPL but was ruled out of the South Africa series due to injury. He went to NCA for rehab. Kuldeep Yadav played in just one game in the West Indies series and therefore he was not selected because he was not playing continuously. Another reason is the presence of two leg spinners and two off-spinners in the squad.
Indian Team is all set to travel to Ireland to play two T20 International matches in Dublin. This would be India’s first visit to Ireland since 2018. The two team have played against each other only on three occasions in T20s and it was Indian team who emerged victorious on all occasions. The 1st match of T20 series will take place on June 26 while the 2nd match will take place on June 28. Hardik Pandya has been appointed the captain of Indian Team for the series against Ireland.
Why Kuldeep Yadav is not selected in Indian Team against Ireland?
Kuldeep Yadav is not selected in the Indian squad for Ireland Tour because he has been injured. The Left-arm spinner also missed the entire T20I series against South Africa after getting hit on his right hand while batting in the nets during practice. Therefore, he was unavailable for selection in the squad against Ireland.
Kuldeep has been out of the Indian team for a long time. In IPL also, he was not getting opportunities to play with KKR. In IPL 2022, he switched to a different franchise Delhi Capitals and made a terrific comeback. The Chinaman had a terrific IPL as he was amongst the top wicket-takers. Owing to this, he was also picked for the Indian Team for the T20I series against South Africa.
However, due to the injury he missed the series. Now he will also miss the Ireland series.
